Sweat with Hot Yoga in the winter

Beijing Hot Yoga is a detoxifying practice in an intentionally heated environment (36-42° C). Come to yoga expecting to sweat! Beijing Hot Yoga is an ideal practice for flushing the body of toxins, increasing flexibility, and building core strength. Each class is conducted facing a mirror, allowing students to observe their progress and easily make adjustments to their alignment. Our Beijing Hot Yoga classes are a pre-set sequence of asanas allowing the practitioner to observe progress over time in a systematic way.

Our studio is the first in China to offer the Moksha Beijing Hot Yoga series, coming all the way from Canada. Moksha Beijing Hot Yoga is a cardiovascular workout that takes place in a heated room. The series strengthens, tones and lengthens the muscles while calming the mind and reducing stress. All postures can and will be modified to suit each individual body. A regular yoga practice will help to improve concentration, balance and endurance, all the while reducing stress. Beijing Hot Yoga is not recommended for pregnant women or those with high or low blood pressure.

Class and Events:

OmShanti Yoga studio offers 4-6 classes each day. The practices are different lengths to accommodate the needs of all of those who wish to make yoga a part of their life. At OmShanti, we arrange various Beijing Hot Yoga theme activities and events in order to create a community for our practitioners to communicate, share stories and build new friendships in.

Classes offered

  • Morning Moksha (MM): Kick off your day with a 60 minute reduced heat Moksha class. This class is especially designed for morning practitioners to wake up their bodies with a medium-intense cardio yoga series before going to work. (suitable for all levels of practitioners)
  • Lunchtime Yoga(LY): This non-heated 60 minute Vinyasa flow class is specially designed for people with shoulder, neck and back problems. This one-hour class is a good way to de-stress, rejuvenate and refresh in the mid-day. (suitable for all levels of practitioners)
  • Moksha 90: A 90 minutes Beijing Hot Yoga series which will be offered at select times throughout the day. This sequence of asanas(postures) will challenge and invigorate you, helping you to find strength you never knew you had.
    Moksha 1(M1): Moksha 1 is suitable for both beginner and intermediate students. Moksha 1 focuses on both upper and lower body strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as safely opening the hips.
    Moksha 2 (M2) Moksha 2 is an intermediate level class. More vinyasa sequencing is added to help build inner fire. During this practice students are taught more challenging variations to the Moksha 1 series postures. M2 is recommended for more experienced Beijing Hot Yoga practitioners, those who have taken at least 10 classes or those who feel they are ready for new challenges within their yoga practice.

    Moksha 2 is not recommended for beginners.
